Although it is more lush in the spring,  our native plant garden is interesting year round. This is the time when you can hone your identification skills by naming native plants before they leaf out and there are evergreen huckleberries, sword ferns and violets to appreciate and an old gnarled pear tree to sit under to contemplate the coming of drier, warmer weather.
